Methyl acetate is used as an organic solvent, and is the raw material for spray paint, artificial leather and spices.
Methyl acetate storage precautions:
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. The temperature should not exceed 30℃. Keep the container airtight. Should be stored separately from oxidants, acids and alkalis, do not mix storage. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities are adopted. Do not use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to spark. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate holding materials.
Precautions for transport: During transport, the transport vehicle should be equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. It is best to transport in the morning and evening in summer. The tank (tank) truck used in transportation should have a grounding chain, and the hole baffle can be set in the tank to reduce the shock generated static electricity. It is strictly prohibited to be mixed with oxidants, acids, alkalis and edible chemicals. Transportation should be protected from exposure, rain, high temperature. Stay away from fire, heat source and high temperature area during stopover. The exhaust pipe of the vehicle carrying the article must be equipped with fire retardant device, and it is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools which are easy to generate sparks to load and unload. Road transport should follow the prescribed route, do not stop in residential areas and densely populated areas. It is forbidden to slip away in railway transportation. It is strictly prohibited to transport in bulk by wooden or cement vessels.
