Product Use Description
Feed grade zinc sulfate monohydrate can be used as a nutritional supplement of zinc. Raw materials of organic-inorganic chelates.
Zinc is one of the trace elements necessary for the growth and health of pigs and other livestock and poultry. Zinc sulfate monohydrate is often added as a nutritional supplement in the production of feed. Zinc is widely distributed in animals and can be found in almost all tissues, but it is the most abundant in semen of pigs and other livestock, followed by the content in liver, pancreas, muscle, gonads and bones, and it is also contained in blood. Trace zinc. Zinc is mostly combined with protein in the body to activate the pituitary gland and gonadal hormones. It is an important component of carbonic anhydrase and has a catalytic effect on the decomposition and synthesis of carbonic acid in the body. Zinc ions can also activate the effects of enolase, dipeptidase and phosphatase in the body, so it can affect the metabolism of protein, sugar and minerals. In addition, zinc is also related to the effects of vitamin B and vitamin P.
Therefore, when there is insufficient zinc in the feed of pigs, the breeding ability of boars will decrease, and piglets tend to lose appetite, growth retardation, skin inflammation, pig hair loss, and more scale scabs on the skin surface. When other livestock are deficient in zinc, their growth stops, their coats are dull, shed, and dermatitis and infertility similar to leprosy occur.
If 0.01% zinc sulfate monohydrate is added to the piglet’s diet, it can prevent skin diseases and promote the growth of piglets. When the diet contains too much calcium, the skin disease of pigs can be aggravated, and the supplementation of zinc sulfate or zinc carbonate can prevent and treat this disease. Therefore, more attention should be paid to zinc supplementation when the calcium content in the diet is too high. According to research and analysis, in pig feed, a minimum of 0.2 mg of zinc per kilogram or 5 to 10 grams of zinc sulfate monohydrate per 100 kg of air-dried feed can ensure its health and growth.
