Zinc sulfate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula ZnSO4, a colorless or white crystal, particle, or powder.
Zinc sulfate use
(1)Industry It is the main raw material for the manufacture of zinc barium white and zinc salt, and also can be used as printing and dyeing agent, preservation agent for wood and leather, and also an important auxiliary raw material for the production of viscose fiber and Vinylon fiber. In addition, there are also applications in the electroplating and electrolysis industries, and it can also be used to manufacture cables. Cooling water is the maximum amount of water used in the industry. In the closed circulating cooling system, the cooling water can not corrode and scale the metal, so to be treated, this process is called water quality stability, zinc sulfate is used as a water quality stabilizer.
(2)Medicine Oral administration of zinc sulfate can correct the zinc deficiency and restore the function of the enzyme system. Zinc ions can precipitate proteins, external use has an astringent and anticorrosive effect, and can help the formation of granulation tissue. Medicinal zinc sulfate is suitable for the treatment of enteropathic acrodermatitis, mouth sores, chronic ulcers, conjunctivitis and so on caused by zinc deficiency. However, sharing with penicillamine can weaken the latter effect. Zinc sulfate monohydrate can be used as a zinc element supplement in the feed.
(3)Agriculture It can be used to prevent diseases in fruit tree nursery, and it is also a common fertilizer to supplement crop zinc trace element fertilizer. It can be used as base fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, etc. Zinc is one of the essential nutrient elements of plants. Zinc deficiency is easy to appear white seedlings, and stop growth and even seedlings die, especially for some sandy loam or fields with high pH value, zinc sulfate and other zinc fertilizer should increase production effect.
Zinc sulfate storage
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Stay away from the fire and heat sources. Prevent direct sunlight. Packaging seal. Should be stored separately from the oxidant, avoid mixed storage. The storage area shall be equipped with suitable material for the leakage.
Transport
The packaging should be complete and the loading should be safe. During the transportation process, make sure that the container does not leak, collapse, fall or damage. It is strictly prohibited to mix and transport with oxidants and edible chemicals. Transportation should be exposed, rain, high temperature. The vehicle shall be thoroughly cleaned after transportation. Highway transport should be driven according to the prescribed route.
