If 0.01% zinc sulfate monohydrate is added to the piglet’s diet, it can prevent skin diseases and promote the growth of piglets. When the diet contains too much calcium, the skin disease of pigs can be aggravated, and the supplementation of zinc sulfate or zinc carbonate can prevent and treat this disease. Therefore, more attention should be paid to zinc supplementation when the calcium content in the diet is too high. According to research and analysis, in pig feed, a minimum of 0.2 mg of zinc per kilogram or 5 to 10 grams of zinc sulfate monohydrate per 100 kg of air-dried feed can ensure its health and growth.
